Tugu

Tugu, an unique villa

we were there only because we had coupons for free spa treatment.

once entering the gate, it's like entering into another era
check out this hugh (n extremely scary) statue sitting in the middle of the lobby

lots of red and dark dramatic color used (not for me)
lots of green in the garden (again, not for me)
the staff who greeted us was kind enough to give us a tour of the hotel,
starting with the most expensive villa in tugu


i wouldn't wanna bath here..
the whole design is just creepy.

after the torture, back to the room where scary statue stands.
oh, our ride is here. finally, rescue arrived.

The Elysian

Welcome to the Elysian,

among one of the many boutique villas in Seminyak

Please find inner peace before entering the villa

Here is the villa, and yes, of course, with a private pool
spacious living room
no beautiful flower, no beautiful living room
the bedroom

a very chic but NOT practical bathroom,

it took us over 2 hrs to have an inch of water in the tub,

then finally gave up.

the water pressure was too low and the tub leaked!

every morning, breakfast by the public pool.
every afternoon, complimentary hot tea n chocolate delivered to our villa.
footnote: i like the simple n clean design of this boutique villas hotel, and we had the best lomi lomi message there. yet, it's not as close to the beach as it suggests, and the service wasn't as well as others. Also, i saw frogs!

My first ever villa experience.

Komaneka is located in the heart of mystical Ubud.

When u arrive, u'll feel a bit lighter.

What u get is serenity.

the lobby, no fancy design, just plain lovely
during our stay, we saw more staffs than resort guests,
that's where the great service and "pampering" comes from.

in room breakfast! oh, i felt like a queen.

footnote: at night, the tiny frogs run freely in the resort,

not to mention geckos & moths,

if you don't get freaked out by these tiny creatures like i do,

this is the perfect choice when visiting Ubud.
