With only a two-hour Shinkansen train ride away from Shinyoko, Kyoto is the perfect destination to celebrate our 3rd year anniversary as a happily? married couple, as well as the birthday which I have officially become a grownup.
We stayed at one of the nicest, the most prestigious Japanese hotel - The Tawaraya, in Kyoto, though it costed a fortune, it was worth every penny spent.
We walked around Gion (the most well-known geisha district in Japan), saw a few maiko-san (apprentice geishas), and had too much Kyoto cuisine.

All n all, it was a lovely vacation.
